Anyone can teach you how to swaddle a baby or clean up a poop explosion.

But who's going to teach you the stuff that actually *matters* when you're going to be caring for a baby for the first time ever? (Spoiler alert: I am)

  • MENTAL HEALTH: Learn everything you need to know about all the postpartum feels, and build the right support to help you thrive.

  • SLEEP: Have a solid plan in place to help you get more rest, no matter what kind of sleeper your baby is.

  • BREASTFEEDING AND MORE: Build a village of support around you, recover better from your birth, strengthen your relationships. And that's just the start.

You deserve to have the best postpartum possible.

Having a baby is one of the most life-changing things we can do. We all want to go into parenthood feeling confident and we all want to enjoy that precious time.

But the problem is, no one is really preparing us for the first few weeks and months with our babies.

Instead of honouring the huge transition we're going through, and giving us all the rest and support we need, people just try to sell us a million baby gadgets, clothes and toys, and tell us to decorate an Instagram-worthy nursery.

What we end up with is a life that looks picture perfect on the outside, but is exhausting and overwhelming behind closed doors.

Hi! I'm Claire.

I'm a perinatal counsellor, parenting cheerleader and mother. I've worked with hundreds of parents struggling in silence and it's my mission to make early parenthood way more fun and way less sh*t.

I know how it feels to be pregnant and to feel anxious about the arrival of the baby.

I tried my best to prepare for those early days of parenthood, but there were so many things *no one* told me.

A few years on, after working for a national perinatal mental health organisation and hearing hundreds of parents' stories, I believe - more than anything - we need 2 things:

1. Realistic expectations.

2. Practical and emotional support.

I've witnessed the differences between parents who have these two things, and those who don't - and those differences can be stark.

Know you should plan for postpartum but not sure where to start?

Beyond Birth guides you through these 3 phases:

  • 1. Expectations

Learn the truth about feeding and sleep, get tips on keeping your relationships strong, learn what baby behaviour *really* looks like and how to avoid the traps that stress new parents out.

  • 2. Practical support

Create a postpartum plan that is realistic and unique to you and your situation. Look forward to parenthood instead of feeling nervous - because you'll have already built a village around you.

  • 3. Emotional support

Get prepared for the identity shift of matrescence, learn the tricks to keep your nervous system regulated while you care for a newborn. And most importantly - learn how to enjoy this new chapter.

I want you to have the information and support you need, *before* your baby comes.

Because parenting is too difficult and too beautiful to do alone.

Every day, I speak to parents who tell me they wish they'd known how to prepare for postpartum.

This is why I created Beyond Birth. It's an incredibly comprehensive postpartum preparation and support program, and it's perfect for you if you're bringing home a baby for the very first time.

  • 6 weeks of support

This is not one of those courses where you purchase, and then never hear from me again. I give you 6 weeks of support, including live Q&A calls, email support and voice messaging, to make sure all your questions are answered and you feel as prepared as possible.

  • What no one tells you

There's plenty of information out there about baby basics. If you want to know how to use a swaddle or sterilise a bottle, you can find that information easily. But what about the stuff no-one is talking about? We go deep in this course, because I don't want you to ever have to say, "I wish someone had told me that".

  • Post-birth check-ins

The support I offer doesn't stop once your baby is born. I know that in the newborn haze, it can be easy to forget everything you've learned. That's why I offer cheat sheets and checklists for after-birth, as well as personal support and check-ins to make sure you're thriving.

  • A kickass postpartum plan

By the end of the course, you (and your partner, if you have one) will have filled out a comprehensive postpartum plan, with my guidance. This will ensure you have as much practical support as possible to help you through your transition to parenthood.

  • Advice from experts

As well as my expertise as a perinatal therapist, you get access to the most amazing professionals in the areas of breastfeeding, baby sleep, and more. I'm seriously so excited to bring you their wisdom - I have handpicked some kickass experts who are at the forefront of parenting research and care.

  • Inclusive, values-driven

It can be hard to know who to trust to support you in parenting. This course is for you if you hope to parent consciously and respectfully, and you think of yourself as being progressive. I go deep into the patriarchal and capitalistic influences on parenthood, and am inclusive AF of all types of families.

What you need to know.

Here are all the logistics and nitty gritty details:

I'm enrolling for the pilot round now! It will be limited to 5 people only, so I can offer the best support possible. As a pilot round student, you get to access the course for the hugely discounted price of $150. After this pilot round, the course will cost $650 and will never be offered at the pilot price again.

  • You'll get to be one of the first people to experience this program, and learn how to thrive in the early days with your baby.

  • In return, I'd love your feedback. I'm committed to making sure the course is incredibly valuable to new parents. Your feedback will be a crucial part of that process.

  • The course is for parents (singles or couples) who are about to bring home a baby for the first time. Most will be in the second or third trimester of pregnancy.

You can thrive as a new parent. But you need to have the right information and support.

I'd be honoured to guide you through this precious time.

Course bonuses: Meet the experts

Alongside the comprehensive course content, you also have access to the incredible knowledge of these professionals

BREASTFEEDING: An expert interview builds on the course content, and goes deep into everything that can help, if you're planning to breastfeed. In this conversation, I'm joined by Sarah Thijs-Smit (IBCLC at The Breast Help), and Kathryn Stagg (IBCLC and expert on multiples).

Here's a sneak peek of the course curriculum.

So many parents tell me they wish they'd enjoyed the early days more.

I don't want you to have those regrets.

It breaks my heart when parents tell me they're going to approach life with their second baby completely differently - and actually enjoy it the second time around.

Because they deserved to have that experience with their first, too.

I have poured my heart and soul into creating the resource that I wish my clients could have had before their first baby was born.

It's what I wish my friends could have had.

It's what I wish I could have had.

I cannot wait to give it to you.

Enter life as a parent with confidence.

Let's make sure you go into this exciting new phase of life with as much support and preparation as you possibly can. You deserve to be deeply cared for, and I'm here to make sure you are.

“When I had my first baby, I did so much prep for the birth, that I kind of forgot about everything that comes after it. I bought lots of 'stuff' but didn't realise what kind of support I actually needed. I wish I'd had Claire to guide me through that time. I might have enjoyed it a lot more.”

- Kim

“One thing I really appreciated was that you didn't tell me what to do. You made me feel confident, and you helped me tune out all the stressful 'advice' I was getting. That alone was such a gift, honestly.”

Jessie

“I wish I could go back in time and have you as my postpartum counsellor. What you offer is so f$#cking good! I spiralled into so much anxiety after my son was born, and it could have been avoided had I had more support.”

- Toni
